In our Now We Know segment Chris reviews some of the news from the week that we didn’t know when the week began. We’ve invited you to submit story suggestions and some have been chosen and credited on air. Now we’re expanding submission invitations to Sunday’s You Should Know.
What do you think other viewers should know going into the week ahead? Is there an upcoming event in the next week that people should have information about if they really want to understand it? Let us know.
To submit your ideas, email us at upwithchris@msnbc.com with a subject line "You Should Know", or post a comment below. Include link(s) to the facts you're sending us so we can verify their authenticity, and be sure to tell us how you'd like to be credited in the event we choose your You Should Know suggestion.
Keep in mind, we do see a lot of stories ourselves, so please remember not to get upset if we discuss your story and don’t credit you. If it’s something you bring to our attention first, we will of course give you credit.
We look forward to hearing from you and reading your submissions!

Many Americans have been living under a heavy cloud financially for much longer than this present recession/depression.
Job insecurity in America is not a 3yr old phenom, it is a long term blight affecting most people who make average pay in this American society.
Many major industries left America long before George Bush the Lesser became President.
Present rising poverty is not a myth concocted to oppress the wealthy and for all the people that have kept their heads above water so far, the ocean is rising towards your shore too.
Soon board rooms will need to start finding something substantial to invest their profits into, and if they want to invest in America they will need to re-grow a consumer class.
This nation is fast running out of consumers to feed the maw of the wealthy none-working class. And to those that are hording their money, they will soon find that even that cannot sustain them indefinitely.
The working poor in America are not the enemy, they are your neighbors. And your future is tied to them as surely as the ill health of this nation is tied to the people that use poor judgement in despoiling our environment.
Has the cost of rents gone down?
Ever wonder why there haven't been any prosecutions of fraud in the ongoing mortgage catastrophe that robbed the American people of treasury security during our financial meltdown?
U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and Lanny Breuer, head of the Justice Department's criminal division, were partners for years at a Washington law firm that represented a Who's Who
From NY TImes: "Chris Seefer, the F.C.I.C. official responsible for the Countrywide investigation, also said Countrywide had not been given a pass. Mr. Angelides said a full investigation was done on the company, including 40 interviews, and that a hearing was planned for the fall of 2010 to feature Mr. Mozilo. It was canceled because Republican members of the commission did not want any more hearings, he said."
Love the show! We make a point to watch every week-end.
We keep hearing from the GOP that we are being "over regulated". Perhaps someone can explain exactly what that means and what those regulations are. They talk a good game but there aren't any facts behind the statements as far as I can tell.
Brett &/or Jonathan, please-o-please post a picture of Newt-as-Chucky so I can copy & post to my wall! That was clever & priceless!
Love the show! (along w Rachel)
I thought the idea of "Up" was that it would be a bunch of smart people sitting around a brunch table discussing politics, and ideas. So why does Chris feel that he has to explain every reference, e.g., Melissa's reference to "Bowling Alone"? Is Chris trying to show how educated he is, or how uninformed he thinks his audience is?
I suggest that Chris let references stand, and assume that his audience is comprised of intelligent adults who are sufficiently curious, and motivated, to research any unfamiliar references.
"The DOJ Web site was made inoperable by a cyberattack on Thursday according to officials, just hours after the Justice Department shut down megaupload.com and indicted several employees."
