:: Blogged by Brett Brownell (@brettbrownell), Up w/ Chris Hayes web & video producer ::

Great!!! Right in the middle of the work week! Somehow, I'm betting my boss isn't going to let me take the time or use the computer to access this!!
Are you provide a link for us to watch the video on our own time?
Yes - this link should have an on-demand version
Hayes has a 4 degree in philosophy.
To hear him talk, you would think he invented "economics"....
The Fed is not here to put people to work!!!!!!!
Sigh, stupidita,
This reallly ISN'T the right "blog" to be posting this stuff to, but let me clear something up for you:
Do you know what the Federal Reserve does? YOU know that "monetary policy" thing? Do you know WHEN the Federal Reserve Act was written and why?
From the Federal Reserve Board website itself:
Soooo, are you actually a "shill" to create posts or are you ACTUALLY that dumb??
And you can't read either!! So all that stuff you told me in the past about yourself you made up?
From wikipedia:
Sounds like government to me!!!
If you dislike this show so much, why do you post here? Sounds like the problem isn't Chris's show.....
Oh, and BTW, the bloggers "allow" you to post and they are willing to allow different ideas on this blog, something that the right wing blogs DO NOT allow. So much for that "free country" crap!
So neither you nor I have the "right" to post here - it is a "gift" given to us by the UP Show and Chris Hayes and MSNBC, so why don't you show some respect?
OK - into the fray!!
@stupidita
"This is a public blog..." - yes it is - but posts with just filth are blocked
"This is a free country." - yes - we like to think so
"You do not like what I post don't read it." - I skip over a lot of your posts because they don't add anything to the discussion and I don't learn anything useful
"The Federal Reserve is not here to put people to work." - is mandated to affect employment - among other things by using specific tools unique to the FED
"The Federal Reserve is not the Government..." - sigh - was created by the Congress and so, while it is separate from the House, Senate, Presidency, Supreme Court, it is a federal agency. You can go ahead and like it or not, but that does not change what it is.
"Next the A.R.R.A failed big time................" - the Congressional Budget Office publishes quarterly analysis of the affect of the ARRA. You can look them up. It did not "fail big time". We can have meaningful discussions about how big it was, how the spending was targeted and audited and what we can learn about how to do it better next time.
"Obama has failed big time." - look at the data - budgets, unemployment numbers, etc. that show that we are in a much better place than we were when he took office. We can have meaningful debates about we should go from here.
"After the election, shows like "UP" will no longer be on TV." - I am actually a little worried about this. I am confident that if Obama wins, "UP" will still be on TV. I and other people enjoy the intelligent debate (OK - sometimes I have to go get a dictionary. My favorite new word so far is - communitarian.) What scares me is if Romney wins and narrow minded people like you get more power this will no longer be a free country. [That last might be a little harsh - but ... jeepers!]
Please post on topic and have a civil, intelligent conversation.
While this is a public blog, we like for the readers to benefit from the discussion so we reserve the right to delete anything that isn't thoughtful, well-argued and is just meant to incite and pick fights. Back up any claims with facts please.
Chris; riddle me this: I am starting to believe that both President Clinton and Gov Ed Rendell are conspiring to defeat Obama. I believe a calculation has been made that, regardless of the 2012 winner, Hilary has to wait four years, and that four years of over-reach with a far right agenda strengthens a Dem/Hilary candidacy. Gov Rendall's attempt to bring Penn. in play, coupled with the comments/mis-comments of both to undermine the president leads me to this conclusion and would love to hear your thinking.
I yet have to hear any city, state, county, cry for more teachers, police, fire fighters...
The liberals are beating that line of Bull$hit "We need more government workers" to death.
Guess hayes is not smart enough to realize that government workers cost the tax payers money..
Next why should people in one state pay to hire people in another state.
The poor do not need money, they need JOBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, and BTW, the bloggers "allow" you to post and they are willing to allow different ideas on this blog, something that the right wing blogs DO NOT allow. So much for that "free country" crap!

A typical Eastern European way of thinking
What is that NAACP dude looking at??? he keeps looking up at the ceiling???
Just watched Peter Schiff on today's UP. In the future, any time I see him on a panel, I will change channels. He is rude. He constantly interrupts other speakers with snippy little remarks I would expect from a 1st year college student with too much alcohol in their system. This show is so good at conversation that introducing a participant who does not respect the venue, other participants and viewers...is unacceptable. Civil discourse is at the core of democracy. Modeling civil discourse, fact-based conversation, is your claim to fame. I urge you to protect it aggressively.
Peter Schiff is just yet another douche bag Libertarian who thinks he is always right and never lets anyone else talk. He's a smart idiot.
Paul Krugman is making the rounds about his book. I'd like to see him on UP for two hours. Just him.
I heard you said we should do away with the word HERO. Let me tell you something. My Father is 96. Served in WWII. MY friend he is my HERO. You are free because of him. Don't ever come to TEXAS fagot.
So, if you heard it, that makes it true? Whoever said it was not telling you the truth. Chris didn't say that. Read/watch/listen to what he did say; it's available in the archives of the show.
My father served in WWII, too, as a Marine in the Pacific theater, where he contracted malaria, and dealt with its affects the rest of his life. He would be 91 if he were alive today, but he died nine years ago. He never talked about his service, tho he valued the men he served with and was friends with all his life. I don't think he thought he was a hero, but he believed we needed to stop the aggression and hateful acts of both the Japanese and the Germans, and that every American was working for that goal.
Chris is free for a lot of reasons, for a lot of sacrifice that has occurred to maintain our freedoms and to keep our society from disintegrating into a society like Nazi Germany where individuals who didn't agree with the leaders were ostracized, tortured, imprisoned, and killed, turning citizen against citizen. So, when you say your last sentence to Chris, perhaps you've forgotten why your father fought.
Just started it! Hoping this book will inspire others who have ..."fully lost faith in the leadership of my parents generation" (Thomas Day) to create a NEW leadership!
