Over the past decade, Americans watched in bafflement and rage as one institution after another – from Wall Street to Congress, the Catholic Church to corporate America, even Major League Baseball – imploded under the weight of corruption and incompetence. In the wake of the Fail Decade, Americans have historically low levels of trust in their institutions; the social contract between ordinary citizens and elites lies in tatters.
How did we get here? With "Twilight of the Elites," Christopher Hayes offers a radically novel answer. Since the 1960s, as the meritocracy elevated a more diverse group of men and women into power, they learned to embrace the accelerating inequality that had placed them near the very top. Their ascension heightened social distance and spawned a new American elite--one more prone to failure and corruption than any that came before it.
It doesn't really matter unless Glen Hubbard or the Presidents Council of Economic Advisors who are the bosses of the Republican Party approve the policy of America's favorite son Paul Ryan. We will learn to love him and learn P90X. He is awesome.
I hope somebody on Chris's staff reads this.
I am here sharing a link to an Amazon page for a book about the origins or Mormonism.
I can't believe that Evangelical Christians, Southern Baptists and other Christian fundamentalists know about this. They have always detested Mormonism. I can't believe they would vote for one if they knew this stuff.
There has to be a way to get the word about this book out to conservative christians.
Mormonism is not just heresy from any christian standpoint. It is fraud on a grand scale.
What about having Persuitte on your show?
The link didn't get put into my comment. So, here is the basic information:
David Persuitte, Jospeh Smith and the Origins of the Book of Mormon.
If you go to the Amazon page about this book note Persuitte's reply to a particular Mormon critic.
When I see Ryan doing the bidding of his masters I have no beef with him. That is just the way it is. That doesn't mean that I can hold him in contempt. He is a fraud.
When I see Ryan begging for Federal stimulous funds I respect him. However he pretends that Government is evil. When I see him I think of Ron Popeil selling a slicer-dicer. I think of Vince selling the graty that is free (shipping and handling is extra).
Paul Ryan is a true liberal. He is truly a good guy who wants to help his constituents. We need him to run as a Democrat and convince him to shed right wing nonsense he had to mouth to appease his handlers.
